“JOYLAND” AT THE DRILL HALL
Arrangements are proceeding apace for the monster “Joyland” performances to be held in the Drill Hall on Friday and Saturday next. These functions and arrangements are being made to accommodate large numbers. The organisation is in the hands of the combined Rugby football clubs and the proceeds arc to go to the Sports Queen. These two nights promise Io bo chockful of gaiety. The entertainments include the first appearance of the “Devils’ Ballet” and Russian Ballot.” Also a scries of Maori hakas by the famous Hinomoa h.'tka troupe- a display of acrobatics and tumbling by the Acmy Troupe, a special stage is being erected for the purpose. The special engagement of Madame Zarce, the famous character reader, is announced. Games and novelties of all descriptions will be in lull swing and this linal flutter promised to be an outstanding success. 1 he Highland Pipe Band will parade in the A.venuo from 7.30 p.m. on Friday and will be accompanied by a clown troupe performing on a lorry. Jhe Garrison Band will appear on the final night. Advertising can reduce selling costs and lessen the time in which a product moves from factory to consumer.
