I BOROUGH FOREMAN'S REPORT, i The borough foreman, Mr. J. M. ' Scott, submitted the following report iat Friday's meeting of the Taihape I Borough Council: j Roads and Streets. - -Eagle Street ! and me approach to the Hospital steps has been graded and metalled. Kiwi Road has been trimmed ana from Wilson's corner to the overhead bridge has been widened by moving the fence back 4ft. 6in. on the straight and 10ft. on the bend approaching the bridge. Approximately 60 yards ot filling has been put in on the new fence line and in the elevation on tl>? bend giving a road width of 20ft. between channels. The fence requires a guard rail and a coat of paint. These materials have been supplied by the Railway Department and the iob will be completed in the near future. I would suggest that the bend at the Huia Street conveniences be widened by moving the curb and channel back 6ft. or Bft.. and that the section between the bridge and Ellis Road steps be straightened, probably some tir e in the New Year. Concrete crossings have been put in on Kaka Road and Hautapu Street, as per instructions. Kokako, Tui, Huia, Kuku and Robin Street footpaths have been cleaned, and where required, top-dressed. , The grass has been cut twice in Kokal-.o Street and tne grass mower wil. be put on the roads and footpath this month.
