’ WOOL, SKINS AND HIDES SALE. There was a sharp rise in prices at n the sale of wool, skins, hides and tallow 1 held at Palmerston North last Thurs- !• day by Abraham and Williams, Ltd. s Wool sold exceptionally well and for s fleece wool there was a rise of 2d to ’■ 3d per lb. Buyers were keen after ail s grades of sheepskins, realisations be- ; ing in sellers’ favour 2d to 3d higher i than last sale. Hides also met a ris- - ing market, both ox and cow hides of ™ all weights selling Id per lb. better. 1 Calfskins also appreciated in value 3d 1 to ltd per lb. Tallow sold better by s 20s to 40s per ton.
