DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB CUP COMPETITION RESULTS AT ARAMOHO On Saturday the Wanganui Defence Rifle Club commenced the Cup competitions on the Aramoho range. Weather conditions were good and hign scoring was the order of the day. Several marksmen tied for first position, the winner eventually being Rifleman A. Doidge, closely foil iweJ by T. Ford, the two riflemen taking a trophy each. It appears as if the sport of rifle shooting is again coming to the fore judging by the number of marksmen at the range on Saturday. The club will have to use the three targets permanently if the club membership increases. Next week's competition will be a pract.ce shoot at the long ranges—Boo and 900 yards.
