A NEW UNIFORM
“THE HITLER’S MAIDENS' GREATER ATTRACTION TO MEN. BERLIN, Oct. 26. Fearing that the dowdy blue skirts and mustard-coloured blouses of the “Hitler Maidens” will not attract to them husbands, Herr Hitler has asked the wife of one of his colleagues to design a new uniform and has ordered the issue of evening frocks for special occasions, in addition to a national costume for folk-dancing. The official organ of the “Hitler Youth” approves this step, but adds: “We hate the young lady with a life of her own, because we hate deceit and we hate the doll type which requires exciting dress in order to attract attention.”
