Forecast. —Winds: South-westerly or westerly at first over the northern half of the North Island, otherwise northerly prevailing, force light to moderate but gradually freshening. Seas (N.Z. waters): Slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate but freshening westerly to northerly winds, seas slight to moderate but later increasing.
