WELLINGTON MARKET PRICES Sheepskins were fully firm, but hides were somewhat eaiser at the sale held on Friday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins: The offering was a good clearance under keen competition. Exporters secured the bulk of the catalogues at prices fully firm on late rates. Halfbreds sold up to 13d. Fine crossbreds to 113 d, medium crossbreds to lid, coarse crossbreds to 103 d, pelts to 7id. Salted skins showed little variation on late rates. Hides.—There was a good demand, exporters and tanners being well in the market for all grades and descriptions. As compared with the previous sale’s rates, heavies declined id to 3-Bd, while lights and mediums sold about par. Kip and yearling sold well up to the level of late quotations, while calk were easier by 5d to £d. Tallow: Prices showed little change on late rates, mixed selling to 21s a cwt.
