TWO SENT TO GAOL [ Per Press Association. ) WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. Three Norwegian seamen, Hjalmar Olsen, Alf Gunnar Larsen, and Kias Borgen, were charged to-day at the Magistrate’s Court with absenting themselves from the whaling ship Anglo Norse and from their duty without leave or sufficient reason. Larsen did not appear. Olsen, who pleaded guilty was convicted and discharged. The other two were sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment with a proviso that they be placed on board the ship if it sailed before the sentence expired. The master of the vessel said that since their arrival in Wellington the men have refused work. Olsen returned to work on Saturday, Borgen held a master’s certificate. He went on shore when he was refused extra money to have- his glasses and teeth attended to.
