The weather was rough, but a large number of people attended, including many from Palmerston North and Marton. Gedson’s Aces were in line form, the music being the best and brightest heard here for some ■time. Mrs G. Crossland and Mr W. Hart were very efficient M.C.’s, and everything passed off well. The supper arrangements were first class, and all appeared to enjoy the evening. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss N. Young and Mr Fitzsimmons, and in

I the card room most games were won by Mrs E. Wilson and Mr D. G. Howard. Mr John Ellery, senr., who was ill during the week, is now quite well again.
