ABOUT BLACK FRIAR
WANGANUI-OWNED COLT RECOVERY FROM INJURIES. Received Sept. 18, 11.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 18. Black Friar has almost recovered from the injuries received on the trip from New Zealand, but he is not starting in the A.J.C. Derby. His trainer, J. Fryer, says Black Friar may start in some minor Randwick event after which he is going to Melbourne. Egmont has been scratched for the M e tr o po 1 i tan.
