FRUIT PRESERVING UNION
CLAIM FOR AN AWARD [Ter Press Association] AUCKLAND, Sept. 17. Application for an award was made to the Arbitration Court by the Auckland Fruit Preserving and Vegetable Canning Union. The wages for adult workers, except those of working departmental foremen, having been settled, the only matters in dispute are hours of work, wages for youths and females, the rate for casual workers, and holidays. The hearing is proceeding. _
