TWO OUTSTANDING MATMEN MILLIE DAVIS AND DANNY DUSEK. TO-MORROW’S BIG CONTEST. Wee Willie Davis, an “out-size” wrestling importation, will make his Wanganui debut at the Opera House to-morrow night when he will meet Danny Dusek, the powerful and aggressive Omaha star who created such a fine impression in his match here against Forsgren. The importation ot Davis followed as a result of the increasing partiality shown by New Zealand audiences for big men who can make their wrestling colourful by the introduction of rough tactics. Such tastes are certain to be well catered for by Davis who has a world-wide reputation as a rugged wrestler whose bout are marked by fiery aggression. His elbow and forearm jolts, by reason of his size and weight, are in a class of their own, and few men have been able to avoid a fall after having been crashed to the mat by one of his dumps. Davis, however, does not have to rely upon dumping his opponent to win a match. He was taught how to wrestle at college, where he distinguished himself as an all-round athlete, and knows how to handle his opponent no matter what tactics may be employed. He has beaten both All Baba and Dick Shikat, two claimants of the world title; and has drawn with the famous John Pesek. In his New Zealand matches to date he has provided crowds with plenty of thrills and has shown himself to be a man who is going to be very hard to beat. There will be the finals of '.he amateur championship contests prioi to the big clash, and as it ;s certain to be a capacity “house," intending, patrons are urged to book their seats early.
