Bye: Mrs. Russell. PAREWANUI SCHOOL FUNCTION. The dance and card party held at “Apa House,” Parewanui, on Friday night, in aid of the funds of the Parewanui School, was an outstanding success. A first-class professional orchestra supplied bright music, and the M. Messrs. Leslie Sanson and Walter Hart, carried out their duties well. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss N. Young and Mr. Jack Klatt; a novelty dance by Mrs. J. Montgomerie and Mr. J. Crosland; and a competition by Master Bob Tua. The most successful card players were Mrs. Turner and Mr. Jack Bromley, junr., and consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs. Harris and Mr. Bracken, junr. BASKETBALL DAME. Members of Bulls Basketball Club will hold a dance in the Town Hall on Friday next. Bramwell's Orchestra has been engaged, and every effort is being made to ensure the success 01 the function.
