MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. Interest in rifle shooting is well maintained. Last Tuesday evening 20 members fired the first of two shoots for Mr. R. Travers’ trophy, the results being as follows:—B. Goile 69 <1), 70, 3 points; J. Bourke 66 <3l. 69. 2 points; L. Donoxan 65 <3L>. 681. 1 point. The first four places on the A grade ladder are occupied now by J. Kelly, C. Baldwin. R. Travers and B. Goile respectively. The first three hax-e all occupied the top rung and comnetilion for the honour is very keen. On the B ladder the first four places are held by P. Wait ere. F. Langesen. W. Foster and Mrs. Jones. Competition f or the trophy will be concluded week. PERSONAL. Mrs. A. Olsen, who has been spending a holiday in the Taranaki district, has now returned. Miss June Bignell. Wanganui College. has returned home for the school vacation. Mrs. McNaughton, with her daughter Naida, of Wellington, is the guest of her sister. Mrs. M. Johns. Mr. and Mrs. R. Woodill left this district on Saturday for the Auckland district, where they will'make their new home. They will be greatly missed locally and carry with them .the best wishes of their many friends.
