MAJESTIC THEATRE

“I FOUND STELLA PARISH.” In the powerful Warner Bros.-First National drama, “I Found Stella Parish,” the Majestic Theatre has an attraction W'hich is sure to please patrons. This tensely emotional drama possesses some rare qualities; it has been most artistically handled by the producers and into it has been built a great deal of human appeal. The performance of the beautiful star, Kay Francis, is a meritorious one, and she is bound to add considerably to her already large army of admirers. In "I Found Stella Parish,” Miss Francis is given an unusual opportunity to display emotional feeling, and she rises to the occasion with the flair of the real artist. Her depiction of the bitterness and despair of the woman, separated from her child, hounded by scandal-mongers, and betrayed by the man she loved, is a definite highlight of screen artistry. Only an actress of the brilliance of Kay Francis could create such sympathetic intensity as that displayed in other centres where the film has been screened. Exceptionally fine direction has been given the picture by Mervyn Leßoy, while the cast in support of Miss Francis is a strong one, including lan Hunter, Paul Lukas, Sybil Jason (a new and captivating six-year-old child star) and Barton Maclane.
