Moore was home for the weekend from Massey College. Palmerston North. On Saturday evening a bright party was given by his mother. Mrs R. E. Moore, to celebrate his twentyfirst birthday. At a smoke concert, at Manutahi on Saturday evening, given by the Old Collegians Cricket Club. Hawera, Manutahi residents and the Patea Football Club. Mr. Cliff Wills was presented with a wallet, fountain pen and dinner set, in view of his approaching marriage to Miss Mary Mard, Oj Okaiawa. ARTS AND CRAFTS CIRCLE. Members of the Arts and Crafts Circle held an enjoyable afternoon on Friday when Miss R. Honeyfield demonstrated on sealing wax work. Mrs. W. Lester, leader, welcomed the members as it was the first meeting, and expressed pleasure at the art indanee. Miss L. Adams assist-d members with their reed loom work. Suggestions were made for future demonstrations and it was decided to ask Mrs. Bull, of Hawera. to demo istrate barbola work at ill.* next meetMrs. E. W. Harris acted as hostess. SOCIAL EVENING. A happy evening was spent on Fri!dav when the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs jof the Anglican Church combined and [invited their friends along for games, competitions asd dancing. Musical items were given by Miss J. Carey and Messrs. S. Pauling and H. Smith. The Rev. Walton, in a short speech, I said he was delighted to see so many I present. A dainty supper and Auld Lang Syne concluded the enjoyment. ZOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB.
