HARRIS —H URLE Y A charming wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church, Patea, on June 15, by Rev. Father Broughton, av hen Winifred Alary, second daughter of Air. and Airs. J. Al. Hurley, Patea, was marri-ed to- Charles Earnest eld cst son of Air. and Airs. E. \V G Harris, Patea. Entering the chinch with her father, the bride was daintily attired in a trained model gown “ of parchment Venetian lace over taffeta. The squaiv cowl neckline wa., caught in the front with two diamante clasps, and at the buck with crystal buttons faggoted from shoulder to waistline ,the bodice was finished with a broad taffeta sash, and the sleeves were faggitted with lace and silk net. Her filmy tulle veil was held in place with a halo of orange blossom, and the toilet was completed with a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Aliss Nena Hurley, sister of the bride, cl/icf bridesmaid, and Aliss Ruby Harris, sister cf the bridegroom, lookuu picturesque in matching frocks ot “Alary Rose” fantisma silver threaded crepe moulded to their figures. Lame Peter Pan collars were worn at the high neckline of the bodices, which were finished at the back with lame buttons. Th-e waist lines were relieved with pink and silver bows the skirt forming a graceful semi train. Ihe full bishop sleeves gathered into light lame cuffs. Matcliing Grecian aalos were worn ami posies of pink rosebuds and f'eru carried. Mr. Ted Hammands, Wellington, acted as best man and Air. Jim Gibbs, Alton .as groomsman. Ushers were Messrs. W. B. Riley (Wellington; aud J. Freyne (Auroa). JSonie 64 guests were eut'ertained at the home of the bride’s parents. .Mrs. Hurley wore a smort frock of mulberry cellaplionc crepe with matching coat and hat, and carried a toning posy. Airs. Harris wore a hdo blue ensemble in Warwick cloth with a smart; cape trimmed with fur, blue eye-veil hat, and carried a matching posy. During the reception, a duct, “pass- ,; was sung by Airs. Haybittie, Pukengehu, and Aliss T. Gibson, Eltham. In the drawing-room where the reception was held beautiful decorations were of streamers and floral devices, a large floral wedding bell hanging over the bridal table. When, the happy couple left by car for the north the bride chose au ensemble of Gloucester green coataline cloth, with a smart green hat relieved with red and accessories to tone.
