HON SIR WILLIAM HALLJONES, M.L.C. FORMER PRIME MINISTER I Per Press Association. J WELLINGTON. June J 9. The death occurred at bis home, Buinoil Avenue, Thorndon, Wellington, to- ' day, of the Hon. Sir William HallJones, M.L.C. and former I’tenner of New Zealand and High Commissioner in London. The funeral will leave S r Paul’s l’:uCathedral at 2 p.m. on Sunday. “He is perhaps remember, d chiefly as the last surviving member of the Seddon Ministry,” said the Pr me Minister. Hon. AL J. His public. career was characterised hr the highest sense of public duty. He never hesitated to state his opinions and never lost his sympathy for the under dog. He was a great New Zealander and the Legislative Council is the poorer for his loss.”
