The two mouths’ labour dispute in the local tool factory over wages turned into open gun warfare between pickets and strike-breakers today, sexen from each side being seriously wounded and gassed. lhe strikers erected a barricade across a street frcin the factory and poured hifii-puwer riflv-lirc into the building until 40 beleaguered strikebreakers begged permission to leuxe the building. This was finally granted when the sheriff succeeded in arranging a truce. lhe battle continued for hours, the pickets refusing to permit doctors to enter the factory to treat th c dying men. It is expected that the National Guard may be ordered out to handle the situation.
