THE LONDON MARKET. Joseph Nathan and Company, Ltd., have received from their principals, Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., Loudon, the following cabled advice, dated June 17:—New Zealand butter, 107 s per cwt., market firm. A. H. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable (from their principals, W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., dated London, June 16:—Both markets are weak. Butter: Danish, 116 s per cwt.; New Zealand, finest, 106 s; Kangaroo, finest, 106 s. Cheese: New Zealand, white and coloured, 60s per cwt. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., has received the following advice from its London office, dated June 17: Dairy produce (last week’s quotations in parentheses): Butter, New Zealand choicest salted, 106 s to 107 s per cwt. (Ills). Quietly steady. Cheese: White and coloured, 60s per cwt( 61s to 625). Market quiet. The London butter market has been buoyant for the past week or ten days, but is now quieter. The price rose from 105 s to 107 s per cwt. for the first week of this month and the market closed on Juno 11 at .Ills to 112 s, and this in comparison with 86s per cwt. at June 12, 1935. The cheese market has also greatly improved, but is now slightly easier. The closing price for white and coloured on June 11 was 61s 6d, an advance of 3s to 3s 6d per cwt. on the week, in contrast with 44s for June 12, 1935.
