KING'S 42nd BIRTHDAY His Majesty, King Edward VIII, every inch a sporting King, celebrates his 42nd birthday next | Tuesday. Spoilsmen and sportswomen, the world over, will join in wishing him many nappy returns. A public ho.iday will be observed throughout New Zealand and some important racing and Eagby fixtures are to take place: Racing: At Napier, Wanganui, Tauranga and Dunedin. Rugby: Wanganui v. Manawatu, at Wanganui; Hawke’s Bay vWairarapa, at Napier; Wellington v. Taranaki, at Hawera.
