DAIRY MANAGERS

ASSOCIATION MEETING QUALITY OF PRODUCE [ Tar Press Association. J PALMERSTON N., June 18. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers’ Association was held at the National Show. The report stated that the year had bristled with difficulties for those whose constant concern was quality of the manufactured article. The chairman (Mr. P. C. H. Petersen, Cambridge) said that there would be a change in the manner of marketing the Dominion’s produce, but it was the job of the managers to make the highest quality product possible. He was sure that they would continue with that aim. The following were elected to the three vacancies on the executive: Messrs W. Taylor (Stratford), W. Hollis (Hinuera), and J. J. Henry (Dunedin). The principal subject of discussion was a motion that graders should not know whose butter they were grading. .Several members referred to the difficulties in carrying such a principle into operation. The motion was defeated by a large majority.
