TAIHAPE GOLF CLU k DRAW FOR. XVEEK-END During next week-end the second qualifying round for the championships will be played at Raukura. The secund round of the Shergold Cup competition also will Le played in conjunction with the second qualifying round. Should, however, weather conditions at the week-end prove unsuitable for the playing of these competition, a medal round sweepstake competition will take place. Providing sufficient lady members are present a Canadian mixed foursome competition will be played in the afternoon, a draw taking place at the clubhouse at 1.15 p.in. Last week-end a Stableford bogey competition J. P. Alortland once again proved that he has lost none of his chainpionhsip form when he equalled the course record of 32 strokes over nine holes. His card for the nine holes reads: 3,3, 4,4, 2,4, 4,4, 4—32. The other place winners in last week’s competition are players who are making rapid progress and are playing very consistently this year. Both players have reduced their handicaps by three strokes this season and are playing to their new handicaps.
