FARMERS’ UNION MEETING- J There was a large attendance 01 1 farmers and their wives at the meetmg called by the Bulls branch of tho Farmers’ Union, held in tine Town Hall ( supper room on \\ ednesday evening; ( ami after nearing addresses by Air Lloyd Hammond, president of the XV eliington Centre, and Air. K. Little, pro- ’ vincial secretary, it was unanimously 1 decided to continue the Bulls branch; 1 and tu endeavour to enrol all farmers of the district to support the union. 5 Air. A. W. Amon was in the chair, and " introduced the speakers. ' Air. Lloyd Hammond spoke on the J lines of previous addresses, pointing J out the effect of guaranteed prices in Jincreasing larniers' costs, and the ' k speaker also traversed the negotiations between the Government and the a union. At the conclusion of an inter- ( esting and very illuminating address <■ Air. Hammond answered a number ot ' questions. Air. K. Little endorsed the previous - speaker’s statements, and said that it was gratifying to see such a large * attendance of farmers.
