WOOL MARKETS
THE SYDNEY SALES. Received June 16, 9.35 p.m. SYDNEY, June 16. At the wool sales 8323 bales were offered and 5200 were sold, also 900 privately. There was good competition, chiefly from the Continental and Yorkshire sections. The market was firm at tho previous day’s rates. Withdrawals ■were heavy owing to reserves. The Japanese again looked on without operating. Greasy Merino realised to 21d per lb.
