A hit-and-run driver, who ran into a girl cyclist, appeared before AirWalton, b.AI., this morning and Nva.s lined a total of £l5 and His licence was cancelled lor twelve months. Accused was.a Alaori, Osborne Hum. who pleaded guilty. Detective McWhirter stated that the speed of accused’s car was described as terrific, while a friend, who had been in town with him on the day ol the accident, said tnat accused was so intoxicated that he prevented him from using his car until later in the day. Counsel said that accused's recollection of the incident was very vague, although be remembered hitting something.
