SHEIK OF BAHREIN

VISIT TO ENGLAND [ British Official Wirelese. J RUGBY, June 14. The Sheikh of Bahrein, accompanied by his two sons, is arriving in England to-morrow, where for a fortnight he will be the guest of the British Oovernment. During this time he will be invested by the King with the insignia of Knight Commander of the Indian Empire, an honour which was conferred upon him in 1935. The Sheikh, who has been ruler of Bahrein since 1923, visited England unofficially in 1925. He will meet the secretary for India (the Marquis of Zetland) at the India Office on Afonday, and during his stay will pay visits to the fleet at Portsmouth, to the Royal Military College at Sandhurst, to the Royal Air Force display at Hendon, and the “Aidershot tattoo.’’ He will attend the trooping of the colours on June 3. Arrangements have also been made for him to see over the liner Queen Mary.
