Murray, of Wanganui, made enquiries. To-day. Maurice Edward Alexander, ~mg:e. aged "•2. a teller of the bank, appeared before Mr. F. Dickinson, J.l*., charged “that on June 10. being a servant in the employ of the Bank of New Zealand, at Maugaweka. he did steal the -urn of £750". the property of the bank. <»n the application of the police ac- . i-ed was remanded to appear at Wanganui tomorrow.
