Miss M Manson, Ruetih’, who has been staying wiUii friends in Wanganui, has returned. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Hatlick, St. John's Hill, have been visiting Wellington. Air. and Airs. C. A. Stewart were Taihape visitors to' Wellington this week. Air. and Airs. C. O. Beeson, Auckland, are on a visit to Wanganui. Aliases Al. E. Scott, S. Scott, A. S. Scott, and Al. Fraser, of Wanganui, have been visiting Christchurch. Airs. C. C. Morgan, of Otorobanga, arrived in Wanganui yesterday, on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. H. U. Veitch, St. John’s Hill. Mrs. B. Williams, Wanganui East, has returned after a visit to her mother, Mrs. Boshier, at Taihape. Dliss Katherine Gibson, Alarton, is visiting New Plymouth as the guest of Aliss Nounie Griffiths. Alias Rita Chapman, Wanganui, is spending a holiday with her motuer, Mrs. W. E. E. Chapman, Napier. Mr. and Airs. H. Jensen, of Taihape, are motoring through tu> Waverley tor the week-end. Mrs. R. Holder, a visitor from Australia, is holidaying in Wanganui. Airs. 11. P. Stacey, after an extended holiday in the Dominion, sailed by the s.s. Alonowai for her home, in Sydney. Mr. l’\ Aldridge and Miss Aldridge, of Kaipaki, Waikato, are the guests of Airs. J. E. Walker, Aramoiho. Aliss Joan Peters has returned from Hamilton and Auckland, while visiting the latter she competed in the dancing section at the Waikato winter show, and gained live firsts, including (Irish Jig Open), six seconds, and tnree thirds. Miss Peters was also placed second in the North Island onampionsiiips. After an absence from New Zealand of some 20 years, Airs. Cowan (formerly Aliss Dc-rotliy Restell) has returned to New Zealand to see her people, who reside in Auckland. Dlr». Cowan is a much-travelled woman, and has lived in many countries, and has i visited most others. She was born in Christchurch, and as a girl resided in Ashburton and Wellington. She was married to Captain Cowan, who was interested in the Butterfield and Swire Steamship Company, trading in China seas, anil she was for 18 years a resident of the East, living in Hongkong, Shanghai Yokohama, and other places. Mr. R. Price, for tne past twelve mouths choirmaster of the senior choic at All Saints’ Church, and who is leavI ing shortly for Wellington, was the guest of honour at a complimentary social given by the choir and parishioners last evening. The Rev. G. H. Lawrence made eulogistic reference to Air. Price’s service to the church, both as choir boy and later as choirmaster, and on behalf of the parishioners presented Mr. Price with a beautiful rug and a pearl-handled pocket knife from the boys’ choir.
