Messrs. L. A. Quinn and G. Griffen, of the Fuller-Hay ward Theatre Corporation, who are on a business tour of tLe North Island, were on a visit to Wanganui yesterday. They were guests at the Rutland Hotel, and will return to Wellington to-day. Mr. Tancred Cooper, owing to illhealth, nas been compelled to resign the secretaryship of the Wanganui Development League, a body whic-h was recently merged witn the Wanganui Tourist and Development League. At a meeting of the executive uf the latl-er body on Thursday night, it was decided to accept Mr. Cooper’s resignation with regret and place on record the league’s appreciation of nis valued work in the past.
