Airs. Russell Grac\, “Arles” is leaving for Auckland to attend the race meetings. Airs. E. Schjimaek, of Taihape, is visiting Auckland. Airs. W. Glenn, Kakatahi, has left for Auckland, where she will attend the races. Airs. Farley left Wanganui yesterday and sails at the end of the week for Honolulu. Aliss H. Afarshall left Wanganui on Tuesday to spend a holiday in New Plymouth us the guest of the Alisses Cholmeley, Bell Block. Aliss Betty George, who has been visiting Wanganui as the guest of Aliss Z. Featherstone, returned to New' Plymouth on Afonday. Aliss Collier, who has been visiting Airs. W. H. Fussell, at Inglewood, has returned to Wanganui. Aliss Alavis Casbolt has left for Christchurch to visit her sister Mrs. H. AValton-Alusson and later will visit Dunedin. Aliss Evelyn Gardiner, the popular Gilbert and Sullivan contralto, leaves Auckland to-morrow by the Monterey for America» From Los Angeles she will travel to New York, there to join the Berengaria, due in London on June 23. She has been recalled to fill the role of principal contralto in the Savoy Opera Company, directed by Afr. Rupert d’Oyley Carte, and on August 20 she will appear on Broadway in the parts she has played on the Australian and New Zealand, tour. After the New York, season, she will tour in the United Stales and lat«r in England.
