IMPORTATIONS OF STOCK
FARMERS’ UNION OPPOSITION [ Per Press Association 1 FEILDING, May 28. Following a protracted discussion, the ■Wellington District Interprovincial Conference of the Farmers’ Union at Feilding this morning carried a resolution that the conference strongly object to any alterations being made in f'O regulations governing the importation of live stock from countries where loot and mouth disease is prevalent. The conference rejected two amendments, one seeking the total abolition of the importation of stock, and the other importations under revised regulations which would ensure safety.
