JOCKEY CLUB’S OFFER DR. ADAMS’ APPRECIATION At the conclusion of the discussion on lhe question of playing the King’s Birthday match with AlanaAatu during the morning, at last night’s meeting of the Management Committee of the Wanganui Rugby Union, the chairman, Dr. G. J. Adams, expressed his appreciation of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s •co-operation. “On behalf of the Wanganui Rugby Union it gives me great pleasure to be able to announce that we are able to co-operate with the Wanganui Metropolitan Rugby Union and the Wanganui Jockey Club in placing th*- King’s Birthday match on a fair footing that will enable it to he a big match for Wanganui and district ir> the years ahead,” said Dr. Adams. * “With the co-operation of the Metropolitan Rugby Union and the Wanganui Jockey Chib we will have something that will be a big thing for the two unions and will serve to link Wanganui and Palmerston North closer together in the future.”
