DAMAGES AWARDED
RIMUTAKA HILL COLLISION MOTOR-CYCLIST’B CLAIM SUCCEEDS [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, May 24. IDamages totalling £.1704 were awarded in the Supreme Court yesterday to Thc-mas Walton Robertson, a former post and telegraph linesman, who was injured in an accident on the Rimutaka Hill on February 18, 1935. Defendant was Ling Sing, of Greytown, whose lorry collided with plaintiff’s motor-cycle. The claim was for £384 special and £1750 general damages, the jury awarding the full amount of special and £1320 general. Leave to apply for a new trial was granted.
