ANZAC STAMPS His Worship the Alayor, Mr F. Ramsbottom, presided at a meeting of those interested in the sale of Atizac stamps, on Friday. Apologies were received from Airs Carey, Dr. Simmons, and Air Clark. Air Taylor, postmaster, reported that so far the sale of Anzac stamps had been better than the health stamps. Kaua Road, on Friday, the occasion being a farewell to Airs Robert AlcCrono. who is shortly leaving for Christchurch. During the afternoon two competitions were hold, the winner l ' being Airs de Latour and Aliss Lilian Smith, and musical items were pleasingly rendered bv Airs Finlayson (song'; and Mi.'S Lilian Smith (violin solos). After a, dainty afternoon tea had been partaken of Mrs de Latour, in making eulogistic references to Airs ATcCronc and expressing regret at her pending departure, presented her with a, token of esteem from the many friends she had made in Taihape, and wished her health and nio-peritv in her new home.
