RECENT DISTURBANCE MINISTER'S STATEMENT [ Per Press Association ] AUCKLAND. May 25. A statement that there will he no 1 üblic inquiry into the recent Mount Eden Prison trouble was made bv the Hon. If. K. Mason. Interviewed today he said that the present system wa« working well. Five or sir rears ago the New Zealand prison population averaged 1500 to 1600.
