SOCIAL EVENING

GONVILLE BOWLING CLUB The usual social evening held by the Gonville Bowling Club took place on Saturday night last in the Masonic Hall, Gonville. The winners of the “500” were Mrs. Guthrie and Mrs. Holmes, consolations going to Mrs. Morton and Mr. Benefield junr. After supper dancing took place until midnight. Miss Fisher and Mr. Chisholme were the winners of the Monte Carlo dance. Among those present were: —Mr. and Mrs. Chenery, Mr. and Mrs. Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Symonds, Mr. and Mrs. Stenton, Mr. and Mrs. Morton, Mr. and Mrs. Berryman. Hampton, Tinney, Winter, Norris, Lynch; Misses Morrison, Mclntyre, Berryman (2), Christensen, Fisher; Messrs. Larking, Fisher, Benge, Wadham, Lee, Gilmore, Mailman Bell, Chisholm, Benefield. WAVERLEY PLUNKET SOCIETY. The monthly meeting of the Waverley branch of the Plunket Society was held last week, Mrs. Mulholland presiding. The president extended a welcome to the new members and expressed the hope that their duties as members of the committee would be pleasant.
