Duncan, Buanui, were in Wanganui during lhe weekend. M.iss Stanford, Wickstccd Street, left during the week-end for New Plymouth on a visit to her niece. Mrs. Phillip Grey. • • Mrs. H. D. F. James, Gonvilie, has returned from a visit to Auckland and tlie Bay of Islands. Mrs. D. Latham, Grey Street, has returned from Canterbury, where she attended the wedding of her son, Mr. T. Latham. Mrs. C. M. Strouts and Miss Truda Strouts, Nelson Street, are on a visit to Hawke's Bay. • • ♦ ♦ Mrs. W. R. Gibson, Napier, is the guest of Mrs. Balph Brown, Gonville. Mr. and Mrs. W. McClymont were Wanganui visitors to Wellington last’ week. Mrs. Betts-Vincent, of the teaching staff of the Girls’ College, is visiting Wellington. IDr. Elizabeth Gunn has left o,n a visit to the South Island. Mrs. J. Hamill, of Taihape, is visiting Wellington, and is staying with her daughter, Miss Elaine Hamill, of the Williamson comedy company. Miss Pye, of Napier, and formerly of Wanganui, accompanied by Mrs. Bird, paid a’ brief visit to the river city on Saturday. • * • • Miss Shirley Latham, of Masterton, is spending the college vacation in Wanganui with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Latham. Mrs. A. J. Alexander (Waverley), Misses A. Graham (Waverley), Nancy Davidson (Patea), M. Alexander ( Waverley) were visitors to Hawera on Thursday for the Wanganui Collegiate School old boys’ annual dance. Miss Agnes Stops, founder of the Women's Institutes in. England, who has been touring the South Island, has arrived in Auckland and will leave shortly on her return to England. Miss Mary Latham, Grey Street, who was a bridesmaid at the Latham — Montgomery wedding, which took place at Little Bivcr, Canterbury, has returned to Wanganui. Miss Latham will leave this week for Wellington en route to England. She will be a passenger on the Rotorua.
