ESCAPE FROM SHIP
PROHIBITED IMMIGRANT ADELAIDJ-., .May 9. A Czech named Birger, wlio tried to escape from the steamer Dalcross by leaping from the dock of the ship in mid-ocean, with a hatch cover for a raft, yesterday burst open the do,or of the cabin in which he was being held as a pro’hi'bitC'l immigrant and fled while the ship was lying in Port Ade laide. Birger, who is handcuffed had not been recaptured up to a late hour last nighr.
