General Situation. —An anti-cyelone extends across New Zealand, its centre being located over the north-east portion ot' the Tasman, while a series of slight depressions is passing to the south. Forecast. —Winds: Westerly to south-westerly, light to moderate generally, but strong at times about Foveaux Strait. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough on parts of the west coast south of Farewell Spit, otherwise slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate west winds and slight to moderate seas. Weather. —Cloudy at times with some scattered light rains probable in western districts front Taranaki southwards, otherwise fair to fine with moderate temperatures. The New Zealand Friends’ School, St. John's Hill, report for 24 hours ending 6 p.m- yesterday: Bright sunshine, 1 hour 50 minutes. Rainfall. ,02in. Shade temperatures. Maximum, 57deg.
