FATAL COLLISION
MOTOR-CYCLIST’S DEATH [ Per Press Association ] HASTINGS, May 8. To-night a young Maori, aged 24, named A. B. Wall, whose uome is at Waitahunui, near Taupo, was fatally injured when his motor-cycle collided with a motor-lorry on the road between Mangatalii and Maraekakaho, about 20 miles from Hastings. His passenger on the pillion seat, E. R. Ingrain, aged about 22, a resident of Otawhao, Central Hawke’s Bay, was only slightly injured. The accident happened about 7.30 p.m., and an ambulance from Hastings brought the two mei to Hastings Hospital, but Walls died shortly after a-d--mission, with severe injuries to his head. One of his arms and a thigh were broken. His passenger suffered slight injuries to a leg and one hand. Ho wn.s taken to Napier Hospital where he will be a patient for a few days. The only details of tiro accident are meagre.
