TRADE TREATY SIGNED WASHINGTON, May 6. Tho Franco-American trade treaty was signed to-day by Mr Cordell Hull and the French Ambassador (M. Laboulayo). Ponding the publication of tihe text on -May 13, details of the arrangements have not been disclosed. The State Department, drawing attention to the fact that it is the thirteenth agreement since June, 1934, ami the fifth with a European country, indicated that “it will provide improved opportunities for an expension of trade in special products of special interest t-o each country. In addition to duty concessions and quota increases by France and duty concessions by the United States on carefully selected lists of products, the agreement provides generally for substantial most-fwoured-na-tion treatment by each country of the commerce of the other.”
