ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS SOCIAL AND DANCE I On Wednesday evening the Druids* Hall was en fete, the occasion being the fourth anniversary social and dan\:e of the Palais de Danse. -There was an attendance of about. 400, and all enjoyed the special programme of oldtime and modern dances interspersed with novelty items. Mr Gilroy extended a hearty welcome to both old and new patrons and expressed the hope that the Palais de Danse would enjoy a fair share of their patronage ■dirring the ensuing year. I A special feature of the occasion was jthe large four-tiered bH‘ ! -hday cake, decorated in pale gold. Just after 9 pm. Mrs Bert Gilroy performed the | ceremony of cutting the rake. I As well as a dance programme, several attractive revue turns helped to make the evening a suciessfu! one. j George Allen and Company were presented by Leonard F. Liley in a cameo revue.
