BODY FOUND IN WELL
RETIRED TRAIN DRIVER SYDNEY, May 6 The body of a man, identified as Charles Dawson, formerly a train driver, was found secreted in a disused shallow well close to Lake Lilawarra, on the South Coast. Dawson had been shot in the temple and there was a bag over his head, fastened around his neck with a rope. The police are convinced that the man was murdered. He lived alone a one-roomed building and received a pension, but it is known that he posed as a man of means. The police think that robbery was the motive for the crime. They discovered a trail of blood from the hut to the spot where he was buried.
