RAETIHI BRANCH.
ANNUAL MEETING
There was a large gathering of members and visitors at the annual meeting oT the Raetihi branch of the W.D.F.U., held in the Plunket rooms on April 29. As a mark of respect to the late King members stood in silence for a few moments. The president (Mrs. Fetzer) read the the year’s working, and thanked all members for their help during her year of office. The following was the result of the election: —President, Mrs. R. O. Pearson; vice-presidents, Mesdames Ranger, Read, and Selby; secretary, Miss Blacklock; assistant-secretary, Mrs. Prentice; committee, Mesdames Mountfort, Richardson, Fetzer, Marshall, Foster, Cranston, Coffee, McDougall, and A. K. McDougall. Mrs. Read presented Mrs. Fitzer (retiring president) with a bouquet and present as a token of thanks for her work while president during the past year. Mrs. Blacklock and Miss A. K. Mr-
Dougall were also presented with bouquets by Airs. Pearson for good work done for the W.D.F.U. Members of the Farmers’ Union were invited to join the ladies in afternoon tea, which everybody thoroughly enjoyed. Air. Blacklock (president of the Farmers’ Union) thanked the ladies on behalf of his members.
