FARMERS CONFER TO-NIGHT Notwithstanding the fact tnat the House of Representatives has passed the Export Marketing Bill the farmers of the Wanganui district have detriniined to meet in conference this even ing to express their view's. It is not expected that all will be of one mind, they certainly are not so at the mo meat, but it is expected that after l-ie whole position has been canvassed tha minds of the farmers will have beep expressed, and will aid in clarifying the position. The promoters of to-night’s ineetiup desire all farmers to make an effort to be present in' order that the meeting may be representative of the dis trict. and second that the position, both as to the general understanding of the proposals and what the producers think q‘l them, may be placed on record.
