GIGANTIC SCHEME
TUNNEL UNDER ATLANTIC A film of a standard well above th® average, “The Tunnel,” will have its first presentation at the Plaza Theatre next Wednesday. Dealing with an attempt to make a tunnel under the Atlantic, the film contains some memorable scenes of engineering construction which form an impressive background for the very human drama which is enacted with the development of the project. Richard Dix, one of the few actors from the silent screen who have remained in the top flight after the advent of the sound screen, has a dominent role as the designer of the tunnel. An excellent supporting cast headed by Helen Vinson, Leslie Banks, George Arliss, C. Aubrey Smith and Madge Evans ensures that the acting throughout the film is of the highest order.
