SEISMIC DISTURBANCES
PREVALENT IN AUSTRALIA SEVERE EARTH SHOCK ADELAIDE, May 6. A severe earth shock, lasting a minute, occurred on Alonday night along the Nullabor Plain. Station owners have reported that the windows of their homes rattled violently. The natives were terrified and were with difficulty prevented from going bush.” Seismic disturbances seem prevalent, as within a few days of the Nairana mishap two fishermen, while anchored off Smoky Bay, were almost thrown from their bunks when a large wave struck their cutter.
