APPEAL TO THE CHURCHES
Sir, —Surely it is time to make a united effort to slop the annihilation of the Abyssinians, by all who call themselves Christians! If in similar stiaits ourselves the first thought would be of calling for a day of prayer, so if we believe we show that we are Christians by obeying our divine Lord ’s command to love cur neighbour as ourself. —1 am, etc. , ‘HAPPY ARE YE, IF YE DO THEM.’
