ALLEGED NEGLIGENCE
CHINESE MOTOR-DRIVER [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, May 5. Negligent driving of a motor truck round one of the worst bends on the Rimutaka Hill, was alleged in the Supreme Court to-day by Thomas Walton Robertson, a linesman, when he claimed damages totalling £2134 Is from Ling Sing, a Chinese general merchant, whose lorry collided with plaintiff’s motor-cycle on February 18, It was alleged that Ling Sing was on the wrong side of the road and travelling at between 25 and 30 miles an hour. After an hour’s retirement. the jury disagreed and a new trial was ordered.
